Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Soko, provided by Soko Technologies Ltd ("Soko", "we"). By creating an account or using the application, you agree to these Terms.

New organizations receive a 14-day free trial of Professional features, with no credit card required to start. After the trial, continued use requires an active paid subscription. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for activity under your account, including users you add to your organization.

• Plans are billed monthly or yearly, in advance, through Paystack
• Prices are listed on the pricing page and may change with prior notice
• You can cancel at any time from Billing; cancellation stops future charges. The current prepaid period is not refunded
• The merchant of record is Origami Tech, Nairobi (sales@origamitech.co.ke). Paystack processes cards, M-Pesa, and bank transfers. This is for Soko software access only, not in-store customer till payments.

You own the business data you enter into Soko. We process it to provide the service as described in our Privacy Policy. After cancellation, your data remains available for export for 30 days before removal from active systems.

You agree not to:

• Use Soko for unlawful transactions or to process fraudulent payments
• Attempt to access another organization's data without authorization
• Reverse engineer, resell, or white-label the application without written consent
• Interfere with the security or normal operation of the service

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access on Starter or Professional plans. Scheduled maintenance and third-party providers (including Supabase and Paystack) may affect availability.

Enterprise subscriptions include dedicated support and onboarding. A formal uptime SLA is only binding if it is written into an order form or separate agreement. Marketing pages that mention support do not create an SLA by themselves.

Application data is stored in Postgres hosted by Supabase. We rely on that provider for encrypted storage, routine backups, and infrastructure recovery. We process organization data only to provide Soko, as described in the Privacy Policy. For Kenya data-protection requests, email hello@soko.origamitech.co.ke.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or have significantly overdue payments, after reasonable notice where practical. You may cancel your subscription at any time from within the application or by contacting support.

Soko is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Soko Technologies Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya.
